back
Wow, it’s been a while. Looking at my second to last post I see it was right before we went to Europe last year…and it’s almost that time again. I’ve missed all the old tumblrs I used to follow and have spent a couple weeks catching up on them as well as finding some pretty cool new ones. I’m back!

November: Thanksgiving at our house in Cedar City, Utah
December: Christmas in NYC, HELL YEAH!
and I’d like to squeeze in camping or cabin-ing somewhere amidst all of that.
haven't tumbled in so long because of moving and...

travels with charley
I’m finishing What I Talk About When I Talk About Running today and I think, in honor of my visit to Steinbeck country this weekend (going to one day of the Monterey Jazz Festival and just hanging out in the area afterwards), this will be my next read:
I’ve only ever read excerpts from it. I should also decide whether the John Steinbeck Museum in Pacific Grove or the National...
trimming the fat
I’ve made lots of changes over the past several months to help save money:
got a library card and stopped buying books and renting movies
bring lunch to work more often
shop at Trader Joe’s more often
got rid of my blackberry data plan for a more simple plan
canceled my expensive gym membership and exercise outside or at home
have barely shopped at all (this one doesn’t...
